To celebrate Heaps Gay turning 5 we’ve been looking through our photo archives for some of the best moments of the last 24 months. We set out to do 5 years but got way too bored. Hope you can join us for a beer to celebrate on Nov 17th.

Heaps Gay Qweens Ball 2018

We we convinced the City to allow us to take control of The Sydney Town Hall and a marching band decided to swing open the doors and officially open proceedings.

Frankie Say’s The Leather Tribute Show OWNED the stage as they performed a tribute to the leather community in Sydney. (I don’t think we can ever beat it.)

The day we decide a lawn bowl comp was a good idea on the bigggest storm day of the year. All dressed up, all rained out but a bloody good time nonetheless. Fruit Bowl will be back and someone will be rained champion Fruities.

South African born Fortune Shumba came out off from under rock and literally blew us away with this electro pop, dance moves and beautiful msgs of love around the country. Come back soon Fortune. & Sissi! Mardi Gras maybe?


we had a party in  the SNOW! Waaaaat! It was colourful and queer and magical and Handsome slayed!

We had our first trash pool thanks to The Stitchery Collective in Brisbane. Oh and it was HOT!


We had our first ever Newcastle event at the best shittest old man pub in town. The Lass O’Gowrie. It was so damn sweaty and fun.


UM 3000 people rocked up to our biggest and best Mardi Gras party at Manning Bar and Gardens. A 3am rager outside is the BEST! Happy Gay Xmas legends.


The courtyard for The Kaleidoscope (Heaps Gay x Vivid Live) from June at the Factory Theatre. This spot was magic, check out this video by Kritty! 


Heaps Hallowed just the other week! Adam’s Apple brought the Rainbow Babadook to life on the Red Rattler stage.


Pewka Zilla at In Bloom, a celebration of trans and gender non-binary artists at 107 Projects supported by LUSH. Catch Pewka at Heaps Gay’s 4th Birthday DJing in the Party Gazebo.


Remember that time we partied in the Victoria’s State Library? Habits killed their set! This is one of our all time favourites.


Radha La Bia at the Protugal Madeira Club last year! Stunning content. Is the carpark a thing. Can we go?


NYE at the Imperial was huge!!! Magda’s always bring the pop goodness and this photo perfectly encapsulates the night.
