LGBT+ Party Starters Are Coming To Adelaide (THATS US!)
By Sam Eacott
In partnership with locals Sparkke Change Beverage Co and Pride at Adelaide University, We are bringing Heaps Gay Trash Palace to Adelaide following on from our parties around event with Vivid Sydney event this year featuring Vanessa Amorosi and DJ sets closing out Falls Festival for NYE.
Expect a glamorous and large scale queer spectacular like the Street Party, an open air festival in Sydney, and Queertopia for Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, Trash Palace will bring all levels of creativity and colour to Adelaide No Angel Club on August 24th.
Get there in your favourite DIY outfit before dumpster diving into a world of queer decadence with rowdy and rousing performances, gaudy acts and party starting DJs.
Last taking place at Brisbane Festival’s The Tivoli in September last year, it’s a dress-up celebration jam-packed to the rim with an all killer no filler line up of Sydney and local acts. Its inclusive, its fun, its colourful.
Packing out the plane we’ll be bringing down south DJ legend Charlie Villas, first nations drag superstar and advocate Felicia Foxx, raucous host Aaron Manhattan as well as Heaps Gay DJs. The rest of the lineup is rounded out by local talent Night Call Party DJ’s, burlesque’s Vivienne Von Coffin, drag king Goode Thyme and Molly Morphine.
Presenting partner Pride is the University of Adelaide’s social club for LGBTI+, queer and questioning students. Pride organises a wide variety of regular casual social events and larger functions throughout the year to build community including free fortnightly afternoon teas, quiz nights, movie screenings, formal balls, ice skating and generally fostering friendships at uni.
